What's New
Updates to the Shier Compound land search tracker.
Share Links, Realtor Questions & More
New
  • Opening a property now updates the URL to #p-{id} — you can share or bookmark a direct link to any property. The Share button in the detail header copies the link to your clipboard. Browser back/forward works too.
  • A new Realtor Questions tab appears on every property. Claude generates a list of suggested questions to ask the listing agent as part of its assessment. Each question is editable by admin, and a Copy All button lets you paste the whole list into an email.
  • Admin can now run a Claude assessment directly from a Pending Review lead — without approving the lead first. Results appear in the lead detail modal so you can make a more informed approval decision.
  • The County GIS map link now also appears in the lead detail modal (it was already on the approved property detail page).
  • Claude now uses hedged language ("appears to", "may indicate") for inferences rather than stating them as facts, making assessments more accurate about what is known vs. inferred.
Shier Outpost Launched & Site Restructure
New
  • A new landing page now greets you at the root with links to both search trackers — and a placeholder for the upcoming Diesel Truck Search.
  • Shier Outpost is live — a separate tracker for the recreational land search (VA/WV, 7–20 acres, $10–30k). Same submit-a-lead and review workflow.
  • Search areas updated to include Western VA (Clarke, Rockingham, Fauquier, Page counties).
  • Budget ceiling updated to $500k.
  • Deeper extraction of MLS #, parcel ID, agent name/phone/email from nested page data on more listing sites.
Bookmarklet Improvements
  • Better acres extraction — handles "+/- 12 acres" notation, caps at 10,000 to prevent bad data.
  • Lead edit form expanded — now includes Prev. Sale Date/Price, Lot Number, and all agent fields.
  • Improved single-listing vs. search-results detection across more listing sites.
  • Better county and state extraction from search results pages.
AI Assessment & Major Updates
  • Claude now writes pros and cons automatically — 3 each, labeled "AI - Budget-friendly at $X/acre", etc. They appear in the Pros & Cons tab alongside anything the family entered. Family notes are never overwritten.
  • Drive times calculate automatically when a property has coordinates — no more entering Bristow, Front Royal, and Middletown by hand.
  • Assessment now reads uploaded PDFs (surveys, disclosures, etc.) as readable content.
  • Assessment reviews property photos visually as part of its analysis.
  • Top Family Pick and Top AI Pick now appear in the stats bar at the top of the page, each showing the property name and score. Both are clickable to jump straight to that property. Calculated independently — family pick uses your scores, AI pick uses Claude's.
  • Score bars are now clearly labeled F (Family) and AI.
  • Previously did nothing if a property already had data. Now: blank fields auto-fill, and fields that conflict show a pop-up so you can choose which value to keep, field by field.
  • Split into separate tabs on the property detail page — Photos and Docs are no longer mixed together.
  • Admin mode now activates without a page refresh.
  • Stats bar links (Active, Pending, Dismissed, Pending Review) are all now clickable.
  • The Edit button is now visible directly on the property detail page.
  • Automated property search removed. Every major listing site (LandWatch, Zillow, Realtor.com) permanently blocks automated requests from web servers — no workaround without a paid service. The button has been removed rather than leaving a broken feature. The bookmarklet remains the best way to submit new listings.
